Mikey Jewellery goes live with Integrated Wholesale and Retail from Eurostop

Eurostop, a specialist supplier of retail and wholesale systems for the fashion, footwear and general merchandise sectors announced today that Mikey Jewellery has gone live with Eurostop WinWMIS, a Windows Whole Sale Management Information System. The new system is fully integrated with Mikey’s existing Eurostop WinRMIS and WinPOS systems and gives the company complete visibility of all sales and stock for its 400 plus wholesale customers and its twelve standalone stores, three outlets and five concessions, ensuring the that right products are in the right place, at the right time and at the right price. Mikey’s wholesale customers range from small individual boutiques to high street chains like Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser.

The wholesale system is used as the first point of call for all stock coming into the company. Mikey has 1000s of sku’s (product information) which are all stored in a library with retail and wholesale prices. The information is then accessed from either the retail or wholesale side of the business. Purchase orders may be set up and sent to suppliers, stock coming into the company is then either stored in the wholesale system if its for the wholesale customers, or if part of all of it is destined for retail then it is transferred across to the retail system for the stores and concessions.

Eurostop’s WinWMIS includes a full process for creating accounts, taking orders, whether on the road, at a trade show or at head office and allowing those orders to raise allocation from the warehouse, dispatch the orders and to run reports which capture all the information. This gives economies of scale and provides comprehensive reporting facilities which enables Mikey management to see up to the minute information on sales, stock and its location, and customer orders.

Mark Hirschel, Head of Wholesale Operations, project director at Mikey commented, “The new system from Eurostop is much better than our previous way of working because we didn’t have easy access to timely business information. Now we have access to information right across the business, both retail and wholesale and we can see in detail what our customers are doing, which is vital for planning effective marketing campaigns. It gives us valuable, up to date information that enables us to take important commercial decisions with confidence.”

Phillip Moylan, Sales Manager at Eurostop commented, “Development teams from Eurostop and Mikey have worked closely together to make this project a success. By combining the experience of both companies we have delivered and integrated wholesale and retail system that gives us real world business benefits.”
