Eurostop, a leading supplier of retail systems to the Fashion, Footwear and General Merchandise sector, announced recently that it has supplied its WinRMIS retail management system and WinPOS till system to Atlantic Clothing. Eurostop systems are to be used for the management of stock across the business from the warehouse out to the branches. Sales and stock details are gathered at the tills and fed back to head office over night via broadband connection. Atlantic plans to expand its current number of branches from 27 to 40 by the end of 2005, mainly within the M25 area. WinPOS will be installed in all the new branches.
To save time, good are pre-allocated and pre-distributed when they arrive at the warehouse using the Eurostop system; stock and sales details are taken from the tills and integrated with the company’s financial package from Sage. Technical support from the branches can be via broadband as Eurostop is able to dial into any branch to perform maintenance work to the till system, while the tills are still being used – another time saving process. This close management of stock is vital for Atlantic Clothing as the nature of the business is fast turnover of stock on low margins. The maximum lead time for stock is just three weeks, so when the buyers spot a trend they are able to respond much quicker than most of their competitors, another competitive edge provided by Eurostop’s WinRMIS.
